Checklist #52, Section 8 Mothers and Babies. Photographer unknown, Sovfoto (agency), Russian, 24 x 14 1/2 cm. ‘Siberia’ is the regional designation used by the checklist — today a region of the Russian Federation, in 1955 part of the USSR. Sovfoto was a New York-based photo agency distributing Soviet photographs in the West.
