Checklist nationality ‘Italian’ (birthplace Abbazia 1928, then Kingdom of Italy; today Opatija Croatia). Black Star agency. Birth April 28, 1928 Abbazia — Wikipedia (fetched 2026-05-19) and NYT obit stub both confirm. Death October 21, 2020 — Wikipedia gives Paris; NYT stub gives Boulogne-Billancourt (discrepancy noted, both in greater Paris area). Wikipedia verbatim on FoM: ‘an Indian bride under a veil, her face reflected in a mirror on her lap, was selected by Edward Steichen for The Family of Man exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art’.
