Nationality ‘American’ per checklist. Birth April 18, 1902 Chicago / death November 16, 1975 Monterey per Wikipedia (fetched 2026-05-19) and Britannica (fetched 2026-05-19) — two-source corroboration. The plates are widely identified in secondary sources as ‘Let There Be Light’ and ‘Child in Forest’; MoMA Master Checklist records no titles.
