Subject and context
The plate appears early in Section 1, Prologue, after Bullock’s first plate (photo-0002) and before Harry Callahan’s plate at #9. The checklist records print dimensions of 140 × 177 cm, among the larger prints in the Prologue. Secondary literature commonly attributes this plate to Bullock’s 1951 work Child in Forest, but that identification was not verified against any Tier-1/2 source fetched this round.
